Watercolor Tip

Animal Portrait

TIP- Place Shadows Accurately From the Start: Always start with a very detailed drawing for your animal portrait. Lightly shade the darkest areas with your pencil , applying minimal pressure. Worried that the lines might remain visible after painting? No need! These areas will be painted in deep, dark tones, making the pencil marks disappear while helping you place shadows accurately once the base fur color is applied.

Magical Watercolor www.belivart.be A Slow Creative Winter Dear reader, This winter gently drew me into a slower rhythm — more quiet, more observing, more creating, without haste. One particularly meaningful moment this winter was quietly releasing my calendar, filled with paintings that still bring me back to early mornings and soft winter light. Around the same time, I painted the cover for my novel. There was something almost magical about seeing image and story come together, as if two...
